‘In/Visible War Crimes Sites’ is an ongoing series of artworks relating to my academic work on conflict and images. Most recently this has been the AHRC-funded project ‘Art & Reconciliation: Conflict, Culture and Community’ (2016-2019), on which I was artist in residence. The earliest works emerged from the co-authored – with James Gow – book, ‘War, Image and Legitimacy: Viewing Contemporary Conflict’ (Routledge, 2007), followed by the AHRC project ‘Pictures of Peace and Justice’ (2011-12).

‘Srebrenica’, a set of 7 photographs from a series  I took at the former ‘Dutchbat’ headquarters in the old battery factory in Potocari, near Srebrenica, Bosnia in 2015, re-printed 2019. These were shown as part of the exhibition ‘Reconciliations: Evidence of the Visible’ at PARC (Photography and the Archive Centre), London School of Communication, University of the Arts London in March 2019.
